Dear Colleague,
This spring, I announced my candidacy to serve as APhA president-elect. As a lifelong Kentuckian, I am proud to have dedicated my career to advancing the pharmacy profession and to have worked to improve health outcomes in our Commonwealth and beyond.
I have had the honor of attending pharmacy school, nurturing close friendships, working on legislative initiatives, and being a steward of our profession with many of you. Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible dedication and hard work our pharmacists put into ensuring patients receive the exceptional, affordable, and efficient healthcare they deserve. I believe that pharmacists are key public health professionals who are critical in achieving healthcare equity and access. All pharmacists should have the opportunity to participate in delivering high-quality, reimbursed, unrestricted patient care services in a supportive environment.
I am honored to have the full endorsement of Dr. Brooke Hudspeth, the incoming KPhA President. Dr. Hudspeth's endorsement speaks to my commitment to advancing the pharmacy profession and my ability to lead and effectively advocate for pharmacists and their patients.
“I am proud to endorse Dr. Melody Ryan for the position of APhA president-elect. Her dedication and passion for providing outstanding patient care make her the ideal candidate for this influential position. As incoming KPhA president, working alongside a Kentuckian at the national level would have immense positive effects on the Commonwealth. Please join me in supporting Dr. Ryan for APhA president-elect.” —Dr. Brooke Hudspeth
I am confident that, as APhA president-elect, I can make a real difference in the lives of patients and the future of our profession. By empowering pharmacists, we can enhance healthcare.
I encourage you to support my campaign by voting before the May 15 deadline. The ballot was emailed to members from “American Pharmacists Association Election Coordinator”
Thank you for your consideration and support.
