KPhA Joins Other Pharmacy Groups Question FDA’s Approval of Drug Importation Program
Major pharmacy organizations, including the Kentucky Pharmacists Association, have raised concerns about the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval of Florida's drug importation program. They warn that importing drugs and bypassing important safety regulations could lead to counterfeit and harmful drugs in the U.S. supply, risking patient safety. These groups emphasize the Drug Supply Chain and Security Act's importance and the risks of bypassing established drug traceability and quality processes.
