The mission of KPhA is to advocate and advance the pharmacy profession to improve the health of Kentuckians.

KPhA:  Your Professional Resource in Good Times and Bad

KPhA is dedicated to the welfare of all pharmacists in this Commonwealth. Therefore, we believe it is essential we respond directly to the recent concerns expressed by pharmacists across Kentucky. Pharmacists are experiencing massive layoffs or drastic cuts in weekly hours, often leading to loss of much needed health and retirement benefits.

While we recognize the pharmacy industry is shifting, KPhA will not stand by and let pharmacists be taken advantage of or simply removed from practice. Pharmacists are essential members of the health care team, and Kentucky cannot continue to afford to lose more pharmacists due to preventable measures.

Please join us in our fight to preserve pharmacist jobs because we are stronger together.  We have countless ways you can become even more engaged in your profession by working with us.

You also can look to KPhA as your ongoing resource for support.  Peer-to-peer networking is so important when times are tough and KPhA provides many opportunities for you to do just that through our Annual Meeting, Legislative Conference, local District meetings and our new Sip & Mingle networking events.  You’ll see friends, make new acquaintances and uncover job leads you never knew existed.

KPhA has a new Career Center on the KPhA website,  Hundreds of jobs from all practice settings and from around the country are posted there every day.  You can even have job openings sent automatically to your e-mail inbox.

You also can reach out to your peers through KPhA social media.  Our Facebook and Twitter pages provide you with unlimited opportunities to ask questions, find answers and network.

Just as important, KPhA is your legislative and regulatory voice in Kentucky.  We work year round with the legislators who represent you.  And, we stay abreast of new regulations by representing your interests at Kentucky Board of Pharmacy meetings.  It’s here that we make your concerns known should practice issues impact patient safety, including your own.

If you’re a KPhA member, we thank you for your support.  If not, we have unlimited value to share with you.  Just contact me at 502-227-2303 or and I will help you discover all that KPhA has to offer.  Or, join KPhA now!
