Former Rep. Steve Sheldon Appointed to KPhA Board

Leadership is about service, not position. At least, that's what I remember from my HOBY Leadership days. The refrain also went through my head when I learned former Kentucky State Representative Steve Sheldon (District 17) would be joining the KPhA Board.

Former Rep. Sheldon assumed office on January 1, 2019. After two terms as a state Rep., Sheldon left office on January 1, 2023, and chose to lead with his pharmacy colleagues around the KPhA Boardroom Table instead (lucky us!).

While we certainly miss his commitment, compassion, and wisdom to the pharmacy practice within the legislature, we are ever more grateful for his continued service to Kentuckians and the profession by way of KPhA. Please join us in welcoming Steve Sheldon as our newest board member.

Nominate yourself or a friend. Don't forget we are currently accepting board nominations for our 2023-2024 through February 28.

OR (*CALLING ALL INTROVERTS*), if you would like the influence without the hassle and prefer to imagine yourself as a fly-on-the-wall, then forgo attending meetings altogether and sponsor a boardroom table instead. It's truly the best of both worlds.

In all seriousness, your $500 sponsorship of a boardroom table is a worthy donation, both symbolically and as an essential facet of leadership. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please email me (Jess) at Jmohler@kphanet.org.
