Congrats to KPhA's New Executive Fellow

We are delighted to announce the Kentucky Pharmacists Association 2023-2024 Executive Fellow: Taylor Williams.

Williams is a final-year PharmD and MPA student at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Originally from Hazard, Kentucky, Taylor will be a second-generation pharmacist. Throughout pharmacy school, she has been actively involved in the Kentucky Pharmacists Association, serving on the Board of Directors in 2021-2022 and the Membership Engagement and Organizational Affairs Committees.

She is an active member in other pharmacy organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists, having served as Chapter President and Region 4 Delegate, and Phi Lambda Sigma, which she served as secretary last year.

Williams works as a pharmacy intern at her family's independent community pharmacy in Hazard. Her interests in association management, leadership, policy, and advocacy motivated Williams to pursue an Executive Fellowship with the Kentucky Pharmacists Association following graduation. After a competitive interview process among an impressive pool of applicants from across the country, Williams proved to be the ideal candidate. Slated to begin her new position in July of 2023, Williams is sure to bring a fresh perspective to the Association and a vast understanding of the role of transformative care in the community pharmacy setting.

Funded by the Kentucky Pharmacy Education and Research Foundation (KPERF), the Fellowship Program was created to facilitate the growth and advancement of the profession of pharmacy in Kentucky.

Designed to develop leaders who are prepared to assume high-level leadership roles in pharmacy practice or professional associations, the fellowship cultivates the next generation of leadership--essential to the profession's livelihood.

Please join us in congratulating Taylor Williams as KPhA's 2023-2024 Executive Fellow.
